The Struggle for Family Freedoms in England

The sociological story relating to the last two hundred years of western civilization tells of the trade-off of power from family to state. The power of the state expanded at the expense of the dissolution of the family. Of course, now we will see what happens to societies when the family ceases to exist as a viable entity.

But there are a few stalwarts today fighting back for the survival of the family and family freedoms, and they seem to be most prevalent within the homeschooling movement.

A recent report issued to the Secretary of State of England threatens to erode family freedoms even further, suggesting mandatory home visits where parents choose to stay home with their children.
