The Bride vs. the Great Harlot

Well-known author and homiletician Dr. David Larsen teaches another installment on the great contrasts in the book of Revelation. As he draws this particular comparison, he finds many lessons for our current day. "There is going to be a falling away," said Larsen. "The church is not going to convert the world. The world is going to have some success in converting the church. That is the danger in which we live today. They are not becoming like we are, we are becoming like they are." Our speaker talks about the errors of the emergent church movement as he deals with some of the most discouraging trends seen today in evangelicalism. He says that some people are taking "steps toward the harlot in our time." This sermon was given to the Alpha/Omega Conference at Shasta Bible College in March of 2007, and we trust that the message that was so powerfully delivered there will be multiplied many times over through broadcast here on the Internet. "Will we be faithful in an hour of compromise, in an hour of declension?" That is a question that we all need to hear - and to answer.
