Power to Witness to The World

The promise of the Father, this gift of the Holy Spirit is for all in the Church and it is for you and me. Now what is this power given to us for? It is power to speak the message of the Gospel with Spirit honed and Spirit laden conviction. Yes the Holy Spirit brings to us the presence of Christ but in such a way so that we may proclaim His person and saving work to a world that is lost without Him. To receive this presence without the purpose to proclaim His salvation is to disobey the mission and to forsake the power. And by the way... the Spirit has not diminished in power from that day.
