Two Lives Presented and or Set Forth: Psalms 1:1-6
The Delight of the Godly Man.
The Depravity of the Ungodly Man.

I. The Delight of the Godly Man.
A. His Walk is Sanctified. (vs 1) “Blessed is the man that walketh (not)…”
1. He Declines Worldly Beliefs. “…that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly…”
2. He Declines Worldly Behavior. “…nor standeth in the way of sinners…”
3. He Declines Worldly Belittling. “…nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
B. His Walk is in the Scriptures. (Verses 2 & 3)
1. He Delights in the Scriptures. “But his delight is in the law of the LORD…”
2. He Dwells in the Scriptures. “…and in his law doth he meditate…”
3. He Digs in the Scriptures. “…doth he meditate day and night.”
4. He’s Dedicated to the Scriptures.
a. He is Planted in the Word. “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water…”
b. He is Productive in the Word. “…that bringeth forth his fruit in his season…”
5. He Develops from the Scriptures.
a. He is Perpetually in the Word. “…his leaf also shall not wither…”
b. He is Prosperous in the Word. “…and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

II. The Depravity of the Ungodly Man.
A. He is Corrupted Entirely. (vs 4) “The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.”
B. He is Condemned Eternally. (vss 5 & 6) “Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
