Before all the other self-help popular authors filling today's book store shelves, Norman Vincent Peale had long become America's darling guru. His message to Americans was to have faith in themselves to solve their problems. Paul, however, taught that our problem was sin and we must have faith in Christ to solve that ultimate problem. Christ gives a universal offer and a simple response is required to accept it.
