So Close Yet So Far

This morning, the title to this message will be “So Close, But Yet So Far.” We will look at a man who came to Jesus with the million dollar, actually the life-saving question, “Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” He could afford many of the possessions the world had to offer, and perhaps he so rich that there wasn’t anything outside of his reach. I do not know his financial status, but we do know that he loved his money more than the Master. He did not consider Jesus’ offer generous enough. This is one of the saddest stories in the Bible. This man walked away from God and never received the gift that is priceless. He came so close, but yet so far. Let’s consider the following 1) Wait a Minute, I have a Question 2) What did you say? 3) Walking Away From Eternal Life.
