Separated From God

Israel's estrangement from God has not been rectified. Therefore punishment is sure to follow. Sin is the cause of the separation that leads to destruction, and one of its most offensive manifestations is the lawlessness of the land. There must be a return to justice. But this will require a national leader who will restore obedience and love for God. The prophet brings good news: the necessary Redeemer will come.
