When Love Yields to Lying

The account of Jacob and Esau reveals salvation can be no other way than by God's free, almighty, pure sovereign grace. Esau hoped to regroup and gain his fathers family blessing. When he came in from his hunting trip to find Jacob had tricked him again, he swelled with "fury...anger". Rebekah's beautiful plot has turned into an ugly scar. Isaac is wounded. Jacob must depart home.
