God Hath Predestinated & Graced Us

This message marks the completion of Paul's first major statement in this letter. In it he said, God hath blessed us. God hath chosen us. God hath predestinated us. And, God hath graced us. Then, each point is modified. He tells the time, the place, the manner, the cause, and to what extent.

That Paul could begin a letter with a statement like this witnesses to the readiness of the Ephesians to receive the doctrine of Christ, the whole counsel of God. They THIRSTED for the truths which God had hidden in His blessed Son. Today, professing believers spend a lifetime in a church setting knowing little more than Jn.3.16 or Eph.2, 8, 9. Oh for a people that joy in the doctrines of Christ, in all of them!
