The Believer's Joy (Phil 4)

Today's sermon concerns REJOICING in the Lord and the JOY we can have as believers!

The Lord Jesus had joy in His life and He wanted His followers to have joy as well.

Now if you are a Christian I need to say that it is quiet possible to lose your joy and you can neglect the fact that you should be a person that rejoices.

Do you know, there was a time in the Bible where David in the Old Testament lost his joy?

David sinned with Bathsheba and it brought terrible consequences upon his household!

Sin can destroy your life, Sin can make you sad, sin can rob you of your joy!

David wanted his joy back, He confessed his sin to the Lord and he prayed. You find David's confession in Psalm 51!

You can lose your joy as a believer but praise God, you can get it back! Forsake your sin, Confess your sin and ask God to restore to you the Joy of Your Salvation!

Do you know that if you have joy in your life it can be a fantastic witness to the unsaved?

David stated: Psalm 51.12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
