The Creation of the World

Every one of us in this church house tonight has a story. We have a beginning where we were born into this world to our parents. Since that point, there have been multitudes of events and memories made. Some of the events have been good. Some of them bad. There comes a point in this life when the story will end. The most important thing is that your story connects with God’s story. He is the one who started the story of the History of the World and He is the Main Character in His Story. Over the next four nights, it is my desire for us to get a fresh perspective of God’s story. It is my prayer that we are revived as we are reminded of the glorious gospel that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.
Tonight, our focus is going to be on the beginning of the story. We are in danger of overlooking the familiar. Have you ever come into your home and noticed something was missing? Sometimes, we can become so familiar with things that we fail to notice until something is changed or gone. I believe we often lose our wonder and awe of God, so let’s dive into the first couple chapters of the Bible. Moses under the inspiration of the Spirit records for us the revelation of the beginning of God’s Story. Tonight, the title of the message will be God’s Story: The Creation of the World. We will consider the following from this passage of Scripture 1) The One True God 2) The Origins of the Universe 3) The Only Purpose of Man.
