Praying for the Persecuted

Nothing makes our prayers heat up like the fires of persecution. When it becomes frighteningly real to you because it is a loved one, when it is close to home, when you can feel it, this is when your prayer will bring a depth of relationship that you wouldn’t have had otherwise. This is what God is looking for, your heart, all of it, poured out in prayer for someone else. When you learn to truly pour yourself out in prayer for someone who is close to you, you can learn to do it for others who may not be as close, but who need your prayers all the same.
