Jesus Manifested the Father

Christ's high priestly prayer was based on His attributes. His heavenly standing with His Father was one of perfect eternal union and predestined appointment. Christ held sovereign authority over all, accomplishing His saving mission by grace based on His righteous satisfaction of God's Law and justice. According to God's elective purpose, Christ accomplished definite salvation for His chosen people, not conditioned on man's work but on Christ's work alone. He prayed for the preservation of his elect disciples then and now, assuring their present joy in knowing the Father and restoring fellowship with Him.
