Reformed Covenant Theology (1st lecture)

The course deals with the doctrine of the Covenant, maintaining that all God's dealings with men may be subsumed under the concept of covenant. This is the focus of the whole of the Bible, and evidence will be given for the Pre-Fall covenant with Adam – the Covenant of Works, and the Post-Fall revelation of the covenant transacted from eternity with the Son, constituted the last Adam – the Covenant of Grace. It is the revelation of this latter covenant (redeeming and gracious) which fills the pages of Holy Scripture and, in the Old Testament, it is made known, not only by promises, ordinances and prophecies, but also by the various historical and typical covenants which God was pleased to make with various men.
