Consistent Stewardship

Paul here reviews the process of taking offerings for impoverished saints in Jerusalem. Here and elsewhere in scripture, though we are called to love all, we are to give priority to believers. Also, note the amount of administration, accountability and integrity, and planning involved here. It is clear that administrative tasks were an important part of this spiritual service, and today as well, they are not unspiritual -- however, they are not works that can help save you! Several applications for the church today can be made.
