God graciously makes promises that enable us to live well in this strange and risky world. They start with Adam and Eve in Eden. So we've never needed to be in doubt about the future of the human race. Nor do we need need to be anxious about the stability of the natural world. God's promise to Noah still stands. God has acted to remove our pessimism and replace it with hope.
