The Seed of the Gospel

A simple explanation of the various responses to the gospel message as featured in this well-known parable of the sower. We note that Jesus was here creating a blind spot with the hearers whereby they could not understand parables. He did this in order to sovereignly withhold salvation from some, reminding us that God could have saved all if he gave them of his saving Spirit, but he chooses to keep back that which is necessary in order that his purposes according to election would stand.
