It Is Safer in the Light

The ninth plague is a judgment not only to Pharaoh and the Egyptians but to the sun god. Pharaoh has consistently rejected the Word of the Lord. The Lord has hardened his heart as an act of judgment. Egypt is in darkness for three days. Pharaoh's magicians have given up. The sun god cannot help. Egypt is in the dark. Egypt is without hope. There's no turning back now. The Lord is determined to humiliate Pharaoh and his gods.

This passage is a reminder that there's always hope for God's people because they are in the light.
