- A “GOOD NAME” IS COMPOSITE (ie made up of many elements)
- a fitting blend – the elements of the oil are carefully chosen
- the fruit of the Spirit – Gal.5:22 - all blend to form “character”
- “crushed” (Exod. 30:31ff) – required for the fragrance to waft out!
- A “GOOD NAME” IS VALUABLE
- it has intrinsic value
- it is thus valued -why it hurts when our character is maligned
- A “GOOD NAME” IS USEFUL
- the description in John 12:3
- the more essence the more fragrance! – the impact of good name - see 1 Peter 2:12, and 3:13-17
