Mary's Psalm of Praise

Mary's "Magnificat" is a theological & eschatological poem of praise. Mary begins with praise for God's grace being shown to her in giving her the privilege of bearing the Messiah. She then pans out to praise God for His mercy given to the pious remnant & to all who humbly fear Him. She then extols God for being faithful to Abraham by giving the promised seed, Jesus the Messiah, in fulfillment of His promises. Mary teaches us to become theologians & know our God; to understand that the gospel announces an eschatological event of fulfilled prophecy; & to believe in Jesus & thus enter His kingdom by faith.
