Elizabeth's Prophetic Blessing

After hearing Gabriels' announcement of her virginal conception, Mary visits Elizabeth. Although we see only two woman on the stage of the narrative, it is the Holy Spirit who is the main actor, for He enables Elizabeth to prophesy. She eulogizes Mary & extols the child in her womb. With humility, she identifies the unborn child as her "Lord" - a lesson she learned from her unborn child, John, who at this 1st meeting with Jesus, already acts as His forerunner. The examples of Elizabeth & Mary challenge us to live by faith & hope.
