The hope of life

Paul's life and labours are dominated and driven by the hope of eternal life—the certain expectation that he, and all who are united to Jesus Christ by faith, shall live because of Christ and rise like Christ, and enjoy the coming glory. That hope is certain because it is given by God, who cannot lie, rests on an eternal promise, and has been brought to light in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
