Our God Can Do!

After a very busy week of Vacation Bible School, it is good to remind ourselves of the greatness and power of God. Our God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask of think! Just ask Jeremiah! God asked him to do something absurd-- to buy property in Israel at the time the Babylonians were knocking at the door to destroy Jerusalem. But Jeremiah obeyed, bought the field, but then wondered why. Why would God ask him to do this? God had promised to restore Israel to the land after the captivity. But can God really do this? God had to remind Jeremiah that nothing is too difficult for God. God can do anything that is an object of His power. But more importantly for you and I, God desires to share His power with us as we learn to wait on God. Just ask Isaiah and Paul about waiting on the Lord! God's strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. God keeps us weak so that we rely upon His power. Our God can do!
