The Mystery of His Will

We all sense there is the lack of peace and security in this world. I know this because everyone here locks their house when they go out. In the parking lot, we all lock our cars. When parents go to the store, they keep a close watch on their children. Few children are left to run freely in their neighborhoods.
Everyone wants peace . . . peace at home, peace at work, peace in the family, peace in the Middle East, and peace in the world. Yet, no one seems to find it.
However, I think the most tragic thing that can happen in this broken world is to find Christians who genuinely know Christ, who have been the recipients of the new nature, and have been indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places . . . yet they are still living their lives as broken as those around them. Instead of being lights that lead the way to peace, their homes are just as broken as their neighbors. They have broken families, broken relationships, broken churches, broken lives with little peace, harmony and contentment.
Scripture says of this group,
“The word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it” – Hebrews 4:4.
The consequence of this breakdown is a failure to enter into the rest God provides.
This message is designed to assess what Christ has done, and will do, for us.
If your life is missing the peace of God that passes all understanding. Or your home is raked with conflict, jealousy, gossip, unforgiveness, unresolved anger, discontentment, and more. Then you have all the more reason to be reminded of what God has provided us through Christ Jesus.
