The Light of Truth and Judgment

Here is the end result of Jesus’ healing of the blind man, and it illustrates what Jesus means when He says, ‘I am the light of the world’. What we see is a progression on each side: A physically blind man is healed, and progressively begins to see clearer and clearer, leading to the saving knowledge of God and salvation. But on the flip side: those who think they already see spiritually, progressively becoming more and more blind, leading to condemnation and judgment. This is the effect that the light has upon coming into the world.
