A Mediated Salvation

This sermon jumps to the next important passage dealing particularly with the life of Samuel. God’s judgment has been poured out upon Eli’s house and the Israelites have suffered as well, for their own idolatry. Now God makes Samuel his Judge over the people of Israel by delivering them from the Philistines through Samuel. The sermon focuses our attention on how God saves his people through a mediator.
