The present age, the Lord pictured by marriage. The custom in that day was for the groom's family to provide an outer wedding garment for all the guests. They were each ready, equal and accepted. The man who had no "wedding garment" represented the nation of Israel. Those who had the "wedding garment" represented God's elect. The "garment" represents the covering of righteousness by imputation.
