The Fall of Man

Charles Spurgeon once said: "Most men think that when man fell he broke his finger; they do not realize that when man fail he broke his neck!" We read in Genesis 3 of both the temptation of the devil and the fall of Eve and then Adam. While this sin may seem trite to us, it was open rebellion against the Authority of Jehovah. And this one sin opened the floodgates to every sin that has ever occurred under heaven, and every misery of this world's bloody history. You and I have inherited the guilt of Adam's one sin, and we have inherited his sinful nature. Only the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus can make us into new creations.
