Reaching for the Higest Ideal

Of all the beatitudes we've studied, this one seems to be far from us both in terms of the blessing promised - seeing God - and the qualification for the blessing - purity of heart. As far from us as this beatitude may seem, we can be sure that the Lord Jesus did not speak it in order to set before us an ideal out of our reach. In fact the Lord Jesus means for the subjects of the kingdom of heaven to reach for this ideal. In this study we look at what is necessary for us to reach for the ideal of seeing God.
