Christ: The Best Bridegroom – Ever!

As our Bridegroom (John 3:29), the Lord Jesus Christ has shown Himself to be:

1. Most AFFECTIONATE:

(a) From all Eternity, He loved us;
(b) To all Extremity, He loved us;
(c) With all Excellency, He loved us.

Jesus loved, and loves for ever,
Sion on His heart doth dwell;
He will never, never, never
Leave His Church a pray to hell:
All is settled,
And my soul approves it well.

2. Most APPRECIATIVE:

He understands us - and sympathises with us.

3. Most ABUNDANT:

We brought nothing to Him in terms of a dowry, but He has conferred all manner of blessings upon us!

And what of our position at the marriage feast of the Lamb ... ?!
