Mentioning You in Prayer

The doxology in verses 3-14 have a three-fold theme. We find the trinity of God, the work and supremacy of Christ, and the sovereignty of God. These truths are motivations to prayer. Paul exclaimed of himself, "Cease not to give thanks". It is phrased in such a way that he felt he could not stop praying for his fellow believers. He was moved by love rather than necessity. Oh, that we had such a fire for giving thanks and for prayer!
