Fundamentalism: Moral Majority
Series Lessons from Fundamentalism
200
Fundamentalists have responded to politics in three so-called "waves": as a united group arguing for specific legislation in the 1920s; as a collection of lone voices against communism in the 1950s; and as cobelligerents with other religious groups in the Moral Majority of the 1980s. What are the advantages and dangers of such approaches? How should we think of these things biblically? This presentation of the history behind the third "wave" in particular explores some potential lessons to be learned.
