Spiritual Combat Boots

Christian soldiers with their gospel boots on are ready for spiritual battle. They are ready to resist the Devil when he comes to whisper in their ears, because;

1st – Their Focus is on God – not on their circumstances, or other people, or upon themselves... A sure way to get discouraged and lose our peace is by thinking too much or too often about our problems… and before we know it—our problems become greater than our God. – Isaiah 26:3… “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed (lit.-laid) on You, because He trusts in You.”

I will glory in my Redeemer, His faithfulness my standing place;
Though foes are mighty and rush upon me,
My feet are firm held by His grace… My feet are firm held by His grace…

2nd – They Have Learned To Control Their Emotions Rather Than Be Controlled By Their Emotions – especially in our relationships with other people. The person whose feelings are tossed up and down by the actions, attitudes, or the words of others… will never know the felt reality of the ‘PEACE OF GOD that surpasses all understanding.'
