12. Wise unto salvation

Ministry School 2008: 2 Tim. 3:15 refers to the holy scriptures, the Old Testament, which are able to make us wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. We do not need a superstitious veneration of the scriptures, but we do need to see that these writings have been given to us, even to us as gentile Christians, so that we might be wise concerning the purposes of God for his creation and, in particular, for humanity.
