Becoming Reliable

Given the faithfulness of God it makes sense that one of the goals of the Holy Spirit is to create faithfulness in his people. Abiding in the life-giving Vine, the power that raised Jesus from the dead is now working in us, transforming us to be like the one who had faithfully carried out all that he had been asked to do, so that he could declare on the cross, "It is finished." (John 19:30). Considering how the faithfulness of God has brought such blessing to us, can you see how being a person that embodies this attribute will bring blessing to others? What a gift it is to our neighbors to be people who can be relied upon: true to our word, not fickle, people who can be trusted. These are life-enriching qualities that bring comfort and blessing to others.
