Coming Back To God 2

INTRO: We have considered the subject of leaving God, and now want to look at the subject of coming back to Him. These messages are the result of the coming together of a subject I have wrestled with for a good many years. One of the things among these is the subject of the silence of God. Read the book of Job. God and Satan communicated with each other about Job. God gave the Devil certain rights, but He remained silent to Job until almost the end of the book. Job does not know what is going on behind the scenes.
Turn to Isaiah 64. Why does God remain silent? Why is He seemingly silent, while today, the Church is falling headlong. Well, what I believe I am seeing is that God remains silent as long as He has to. It is not that He does not want to do something. But man’s condition must be right before there is any use for God to break the silence. The ground must be plowed up and softened, otherwise the sowing of seed is useless.
