Edward S.S. Huntington, 68, Mandan, ND, died on July 11, 2007. Ed was born in Staten Island, N.Y., to Robert & Susan Huntington. He was raised in a military family and graduated high school in Munich, Germany. He briefly attended Colorado University, and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He subsequently attended Hope College, Holland, MI.

He married Susan Long in 1969 and graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary, in Phila in 1972. Ed & Sue lived in Norman, OK, from 1972 to 1978, and moved to Dodge, ND, in 1978, to pastor Dodge Reformed Presbyterian Church, until 1981. He variously pastored in Scranton, Carson, Minot and Lincoln Valley, and moved to the Bismarck-Mandan area in 1982. He continued pastoring part time, while working for the USPS from 1982 to 2000.

Most recently, he served as the pastor of Covenant OPC, in Bismarck. He was also chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol. Ed was a lover of books and devoted his final years with Sue to operating Huntington Books. He was first and foremost a man of God; his greatest legacy is the faith in Jesus Christ which he humbly modeled for us all.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; one daughter, Erika & Philip Rice, Milltown, WI; six sons, Nathan & Michelle, Stafford, VA, Jeremy & Janine, Pollocksville, N.C., Courtney & Lisa, Monroe, LA, James & Julie, Bismarck, Seth, Hayden, CO, and Zachary, Mandan; three brothers, Robert & Joan, N. Hollywood, CA, Stuart & Paula, Murrieta, CA, and Lee, Richmond, VA; and 10 grandchildren.
