Jesus' High-Priestly Prayer - Petitions for His Apostles

After petitioning His Father on His own behalf, Jesus turned His attention in prayer to His apostles. The burden of His intercession was His concern for their well-being and fruitfulness in their mission once He'd returned to His Father. Here again, He prayed in their hearing, showing that He intended His prayer to be the capstone of His instruction and encouragement as He prepared them for what lay ahead.
