Defending The Faith

To get an overall view of the whole passage several points are established here which Stephen makes in his defense before his accusers.

1. God's worship had undergone change as his revelation developed.

2. From the beginning the temple was intended to be symbolic and temporary until the Messiah came.

3. The rejection of the Lord Jesus of Nazareth and Stephen did not mean he was wrong since Israel had a long history of rejecting the gospel.
