So Hard to Enter the Kingdom!
374
How hard is it to enter the kingdom of God?
The basic problem with 15th century Romanists, 20th century Mormons, and fundamentalist Pharisees of all stripes is that they make the law of God "do-able." While justification by works may be part of their construct, the more fundamental issue is the watering down of the law by which they seek their merit.
At some point, the law of God must challenge us to the very heart of our being. We need to come to grips with the impossibility of the law, before we see the possibilities afforded by grace that enables us to take up the cross and follow Him.
