The certainty of victory v1. Satan's ultimate defeat and all the enemies of God and his church.
A fruitful church v2-6. A different picture to that in chapter 5 - the church here is seen as fruitful, having benefited from the Lord's purging. Promises concerning God's covenant mercies and the expansion of the church.
A Father's correction v7-9. The change and how it is effected. Different effects seen in the godly and the ungodly though both endure the same outward trouble. The blessings of divine chastening, productive of good for God's people. v10,11 the withered branches fit only to be burnt.
There is a gracious re-gathering v12,13. Psalm 107.
