Heir Of All Things

As the prologue of Hebrews (1:1-4) unfolds the Son in whom God has spoken, is further described in the relative clauses , "whom He appointed heir of all things" and "through whom also He made the world." Christ as heir and his people as "fellow heirs with Christ" (Romans 8:17) are considered. Christ as the accomplishing agent of creation is considered. The Christian's inheritance is reason to persevere. The power and wisdom of Christ in creation may serve as a measure of the abundance of His grace to help that we might persevere.
