2. The only wise God

Ministry School 2008: What an admission in the face of competing ‘wisdoms' and systems which seek to apply or even impose these wisdoms on us. It flows from Paul's personal and experiential knowledge of God's mercy, by which he reckons himself to be chief among sinners (1 Tim. 1:15f.), and it alerts us to the fact that the true knowledge of God only comes to us personally through the great gift of redemption.
