What is the relationship between church and state? What are the Christian's responsibilities to the state and vice versa?

This sermon examines what Jesus meant when he said 'Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.'

The following quote from Spurgeon gives some great wisdom on this subject -

“The State has its sphere, and we must discharge our duties to it; but we must not forget that God has his throne, and we must not allow the earth-kingdom to make us traitors to the heaven-kingdom.
