Jerry summed up the first quarter hour of this discussion well when he noted that liberals who continually want to downgrade America seem to think that they can somehow destroy this nation and rebuild it in a better way. Men have destroyed once great nations and turned them into what he described as 'heck-holes.' He mentioned Venezuela as one such example. 30 years ago they had a great economy but the policies of socialism turned it into a 'basket case.'

For Jerry, it all begins with gratitude toward God. He believes that if you're not grateful to Him, it's easy to not be grateful for your nation as well.
