Conclusion to the Book of Acts
Series Acts Series
189
Luke concluded his Acts account in what appears to be an abrupt and unnatural way. He made no mention of Paul's appearance before Nero, though this was part of the Lord's reason for bringing His apostle to Rome. Moreover, Paul spent two years in the Roman capital and yet Luke had very little to say about it. Neither did he give any indication of what became of Paul at the end of those two years. And as the reader takes note of the way Luke ended his narrative, it certainly seems that it "falls off a cliff." But the truth is that his summary statement (28:30-31) provides the perfect closing bookend to his account. This final message considers how that is the case.
