Don't Let God's Best Bring Out the Worst in You
1 Corinthians 10:1 – 13
Introduction
I. We can be showered with God's blessings and still
be scattered in the wilderness (10:1 – 5).
A. The Corinthians, like the Israelites, were in
danger of presuming upon God's provisions
so as to experience punishment.
B. We can presume upon God's grace in such a
way as to fail to gain God's total prize here
and hereafter.
II. Don't entertain evil in any way, shape or form
(10:6 – 11).
A. Don't engage in idolatry (v. 7).
B. Don't commit immorality (v. 8).
C. Don't be characterized by incredulity (v. 9).
D. Don't be characterized by ingratitude (v. 10).
III. Stand tall; don't fall (10:12 – 13)!
A. Re-evaluate your stand to avoid vulnerability
(v. 12).
B. Your fortitude is found in God's faithfulness
(v. 13).
