Watched, Wise and Warning

W.F.Bell is showing the balance of being devoted to Christ, and neither being legalistic nor antinomian. The balance is precarious, but with God's help we can obtain. It reminds me of Lloyd-Jones' comments on the latter part of Philippians 2:12 "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."He points out the balance in verse 13: "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." We cannot be balanced except with God's hand. (Sorry about the wandering recording level at times. Old analog tape, and stationary microphone, with a moving preacher!)
