The River of Provision

This river is very similar to the one encountered in Psalm 36. It is an invisible river. The Christian faith does not rely upon the outward and visible. It is not exercised about particular places. Neither is it about wearing particular religious clothes. It refers to spiritual truth and knowledge. It is river that runs through all the Lord's people because they are joined to the Lord Jesus Christ. This life is not running within us if we are not Christians.

This river brings all manner of provision to the child of God. It offers nothing to those who believe they have everything. But for those who are needy, there is daily grace; there is a never-ending supply; there is a sufficiency to meet our every need; there is strength; and it brings the future near to us.
