The Christians Hardest Control James 3:1-12 James speaks to us about the tongue. We find that he speaks of the trouble our tongue can get us in and the trouble the tongue can cause. There are four things about the tongue that believers must know.V. 2-5 THE CONTROLLED TONGUE 1. The tongue stumbles and sins often (v.2).
2.The tongue is a little member, boasting great things (v.3-5).V. 5-8 THE CARELESS TONGUE 3. The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity (v.5-6). V. 9-12 THE CONFUSED TONGUE 4. The tongue is a restless evil (v.7-12).
One man's prayer might well be the prayer of us all: "Lord, help me to control my tongue through the power of the Holy Spirit, and help me to speak forth Thy praises each day of my life."
